by J Van Druten. Set in 1930s Berlin, at the very beginning of Hitler’s rise to power, this is the play which the musical ‘cabaret’ is based on. Christopher Isherwood, a young struggling writer, finds his world turned upside down when he meets eccentric cabaret singer Sally Bowles. An unforgettable cast of characters makes this comedy-drama pure entertainment.
