Join in our Havering Art Exhibition and competitions 2020 – we have gone virtual!

Havering Arts Council invites local artists to enter their works of art for a series of online exhibitions and competitions. Paintings, drawings and photographs – all are welcome! Our July gallery can be viewed in the Havering Arts Festival Online - a joint initiative with Havering Arts Development Team. It's also here on the Picture Gallery where voting is now open.

How to Enter?

Each month we will have a new round. If you would like to enter, take a photograph of a new or existing work, and email it to us at with your name and the title of the picture. If you are under 18, please state your age.

The competitions will be judged in adult, young peoples’ & children’s sections and anyone can take part. (age groups up to 10, 11 - 17 and over 18). The gallery has a ‘like’ button, so that members of the public can vote for their favourite picture -  audience are invited to vote once in each gallery. We will exhibit your picture and at the end of each month the winners will be announced.

The June winner in the adult section is James Hill with his portrait Harry Potter. We also had several photo entries, and the winner of this section is Yazz Stevens with her Swan Senerity.

Voting is now open for the July Gallery.

Exhibition at The Queens Theatre, Hornchurch

Ultimately all the monthly winning pictures will be eligible to go on display in a special exhibition in the foyer of The Queens Theatre hopefully in Spring 2021. We can only feature one entry per artist each month, but you are welcome to enter as many months as you wish and we look forward to receiving your entries. Find out more about Havering Arts Council!
